Florida House Lighting
Long time, no blog! The Florida build is seriously ROLLING! We are just countertops and plumbing fixtures away from the finish line! Light fixtures were installed last week and I so am eager to see them in person (along with the rest of the house)! I searched for white, rattan, and brass fixtures to flow with the rest of the home.
To add warmth to the soft gray/green exterior, I ordered these brass sconces for the front porches. This sweet nautical light will be installed on the back porch.
In the bathrooms, we went with arattan sconce (a steal at $49!) in the main bath, a fun white and brass fixture in the kids bath, and a more elegant sconce in the primary bathroom.
The most challenging fixtures to select were the fans. I simply don't love ceiling fans (from a design perspective) but...this is Florida! Considering, we decided to install fans in all of the bedrooms and the living room. We went with this simplistic fixture for both of the upstairs bedrooms. For the main floor bedroom and living room, I ordered fandeliers (this one andthis one)! I'm a little nervous to see them in person, but am hopeful that they will add some nice texture and character to those spaces. This small fan will provide some nice airflow on the porches!
This simple linen pendant will be installed over the dining table.
These nautical sconces will be adorable in the hall bunks!
Shop all of the fixtures above! I'll be back soon with installed photos, I'm sure!
