My Favorite Dutch Oven Recipes
I've been a cooking machine in this house...I can't figure out if it's the sun-filled kitchen, the new appliances, or simply the fact that we moved outside of the city. Since moving to Holland, we have been much less likely to go out for dinner or grab takeout. We have been embracing and loving this homebody life for the first time!
My Dutch Oven and I have become rather well acquainted this season. Something about it makes me feel like I'm back in time; maybe because my mom always cooked with one. I love that cooking with a Dutch Oven requires no additional dishes, making clean up much quicker.
I've linked some beautiful dutch ovens below! I'm drooling over this matte black version with a brass handle!
I do my best to find clean recipes. I've done the Whole 30 a handful of times, and would say that our diet is generally in line with the Whole 30, aside from adding grains and legumes. Today, I'm sharing a few new recipes that I have discovered as of late!
Chicken Couscous Soup
This is definitely a new favorite around the Jansma house. Tumeric, ginger, and garlic make this cold-fighting recipe uber healthy!
Mediterranean White Bean Soup
I love a recipe with great northern white beans. This broth soup is filled with veggies and flavor!
Italian Sausage Soup
I used chicken sausage, and swapped the white beans for russet potatoes! Sprouted grain artisan bread was the perfect addition to this comfort dish!
Chicken Chili
I've grown to love coconut milk as a dairy alternative in "creamy" soups. We omit the jalapeños and Ty's tolerance for spice is nearly zero, much to my chagrin!
Chicken Noodle
Of course, a classic comfort food which embodies the fall and winter season perfectly
